What is the Purpose of Life?

Based on 40 years of unbiased research about ‘Man’ and the purpose of ‘Life’ in the manifested world, I would like to offer a series of talks at Macedon and Mount Macedon Community House.

The starting point will be based on the maxim “Know thyself” inscribed on the Temple wall of the Sun god Apollo at Delphi, in Greece. Further talks will be shaped by participants’ interests and requests.

The Immutable Ageless Wisdom hidden in the Zodiac, the Scriptures, in Mythology, and various Philosophical and Alchemical writings will be explained.

Everyday examples will be used to make the subject matter relatable and applicable to improving ‘man’s’ affairs for living a meaningful and contented life.

The first meeting is on Tuesday 18 March from 6:30 - 7:30pm.

Macedon & Mt Macedon Community House will once again be hosting the Introduction to Permaculture Course in Term 1, 2025. This will be a 6 week course, held on Tuesday mornings from Feb 11th - Mar 18th.

Spend time in our amazing new gardens, connect with like-minded others and learn about the ethics and principles of Permaculture. In this short course we explore a wide range of subjects from soil and seed raising to connecting with community and supporting diverse ecosystems in your backyard.

This is an ACFE subsidised course, offered in partnership with Macedon Ranges Further Education, so it is an unbelievably good deal - you won't find an Introduction to Permaculture Course at a more affordable price. PLUS there are funded places available to local residents who can offer volunteer hours in our garden - exchange 6 weeks of fun, engaging, locally-relevant permaculture education for 6 hours helping out in the Community Garden with your new permie buddies - what's not to love???

The Bolobek Garden Fair (formerly known as the Garden Lovers’ Fair) is on again - Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th of October 2024.

The Garden Fair and the Robertson family are great supporters of the Macedon & Mount Macedon Community House. So we are doing our bit by encouraging volunteers to help out and support the local community.

We need 27 volunteers for each day.

What is required for each shift:

5 x Front gate - welcome visitors, sell & check tickets
2 x Creche - plant minding
1 x Volunteer welfare - looking after the volunteers
1 x Stall holder liaison - troubleshooting queries

The shifts are 2 hours (the first one being a bit longer) 9:30 – 12; 12 – 2; 2 – 4

Volunteers are given free entry and a food voucher and a drink voucher.

But most importantly, you are supporting the community and even better - it is a fun day out!
